The bill (Reg. No.6451) suggests the defining of the principles of the domestic and foreign policy of Ukraine in the spheres of developing of the national idea, local self-government and stimulation of the regions developing, formation of the institutes of the public society, national security and defence, in economic and social spheres, in ecological and technical security spheres and also principals of the foreign policy of Ukraine.
According to the bill, the domestic policy is based on the following principles: priority of the national interests protection; supremacy of the law; absolute abidance of the Constitutional norms, protection of rights and liberties in Ukraine, proclaimed by the Constitution of Ukraine, according to the generally recognized norms and principles of international Law, provision of the social orientation of Ukraine and stable social-economic development of Ukraine, strengthening of the democratic basis of the social and state life, protection of supremacy of Law, economic and political independence of the state, protection of the national interests.
The foreign policy is based on the following principals: sovereign equality of the states; forbearance regarding the danger of fighting against the territorial integrity or independence of the state; respect to the territorial integrity of foreign states and inviolability of the state borders; solving of the international disputes by peaceful means; respect to human rights and liberties; non-interference in the domestic policy of the other states etc.
The bill also suggests the mechanism of implementation of home and foreign policy.
The Law also envisages the introduction of the amendments to the Law "On Principles of the National Security of Ukraine" regarding the adjustment of the foreign political orientation of the state.
